Clarins…Another Miracle

Oh Clarins, you have done it again, this time with an amazing hand cream.

Now that I am not in my 20’s anymore I have become increasingly aware of wrinkles and fine lines. I think I have enough products to cover my face but now I have a little miracle to cover my hands as well. It is so true when people say that you can tell someones age by their neck and their hands. Well when I’m 50 I want the hands of a 20 something year old. I think I have found the product to allow me to do just that…Clarins Age Control Hand Lotion.

The new Age Control Hand Lotion locks in moisture and heals dry patchy skin, as an added bonus it also strengthens nails. What I love about this hand cream beside the fact that its age control is that it contains UVA and UVB filters and an SPF 15.

I have had this cream in handbag for a solid week now and I am already noticing a difference in the dryness around my knuckles. I absolutely love it!!

Foaming Raspberry Heavenly Hands

We have been using this Palmolive Heavenly Hands foaming hand wash for a few weeks now and I love it. As you can see, its nearly all gone, thanks to little Miss 2. At preschool she has learned that you must wash your hands after I change her nappy, before you eat and when your hands get ‘all ticky’

I think it is so popular in our house because it smells so good! It is raspberry and it sure smells sweet. I find that it makes the whole bathroom smell nice, for a few minutes at least. And it makes your hands smell fruity for ages after using it.

Another cool thing is that it comes out as foam, so that means that you don’t use as much each time, so it should last longer. It also doesn’t dry your hands out like other hand washes. I usually have to moisturise after I wash my hands, but with Heavenly Hands I don’t need to. I will definitely get some more once this one has run out, and in my house, that shouldn’t be too far away.

You can check out everything Palmolive here and read about how much we love Palmolive  here

RRP $3.29 for 250ml (also available in Tangerine and Plum)

Lush, Lush, Lush!

I only recently found out about Lush and now I cannot get enough. My first experience was a gift of a soap and ballistic. Oh so good! Then a friend kept on and on about these massage bars. So we went to Lush and now…..I’m hooked!

My first purchase was a present a bit before Christmas. I chose the Tiny Hands massage bar. After smelling it every day in my house before I gifted it, I had to get one of my own. Being around Christmas time I could not find it anywhere. I was told it was very popular and all 3 Lush’s that I went to were sold out. Continue reading

Cherry Blossom your winter blues away

You may remember a previous post on The Makeup Case about Natio Hand and Foot Exfoliate where I mentioned my love for L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Petal Soft Hand Cream. I thought why not elaborate on this and let you know a bit more about one of my all time loves. First a little background into the lovely world of L’Occitane, all of L’Occitane’s products are made to recreate the scents and colours of Provence, France. Anyone who has stepped into one of their amazing stores will know all about the beautiful products they produce, from a body & hands range, bath & shower range, face care and make-up, sun care, hair care, men’s range and home fragrances (their candles are breathtaking! You should try the Cinnamon Orange one, delicious) .

Now onto the star of the moment, Cherry Blossom Petal Soft Hand Cream. A vitamin E and shea butter enriched cream that soaks into your skin and makes you feel like heaven. The cream itself is so lightly textured which is great as it never feels like you have applied to much or too little. With the windy season still rearing its ugly head your hands really tend to suffer and are the first part of you to show signs of dryness, a hydrating cream is a must to eliminate this awful thing from going down and luckily Cherry Blossom has it in abundance.

One of the best parts of this product is its amazing smell, I am not going to lie to you, this smell is pretty darn spectacular! Sometimes I find myself applying it more for the smell as opposed to the actual dry skin problem; I have had so many comments on this scent that I am starting to wish it came in a perfume form and I could douse myself in it every morning (sorry boyfriend, I have a problem with excessively spraying perfume that he now counts the amount of squirts I spray).

RRP: $36.95 for 120ml. Available from L’Occitane Boutique’s or you can check out their stockist.

My little piece of hand heaven

Dry hands! Oh how I hate you. It seems as though every winter they make another unwanted appearance and make me want to wear gloves for the remainder of the season. This year however I was prepared, armed with my miracle product, one that will make me hate my winter hands less and one that I am about to share with you now. The miracle product in the squeezable tube of goodness is Natio Wellness Hand and Foot scrub or Hand Heaven as I like to refer to it.

Wellness Hand and Foot scrub cleanses your skin of roughness, dry skin and impurities using soft granules to exfoliate and nourish your tired hands and feet. The exfoliation helps stimulate skin cell renewal and leaves you with healthier hands that look and smell amazing!

I like to use the scrub at night before bed as it is so quick and easy to apply. All you need to do is add a small amount, about the size of a 20c piece to the top of one of your dry hands. Rub the exfoliant all over your hands as if you were using a hand soap, rinse the excess product off in warm water and then apply your favorite hand cream. At the moment I’m loving loccitane CherryBlossom Hand Cream.

Why don’t you check out all the other amazing products Natio has to offer.
