Versace recently introduced another gem into their long line of delicious fragrances, and her name is Yellow Diamond. Such a pretty name for a stunning perfume. As soon as you breath in this fragrance you can taste the sophistication, the sensuality, the freshness and the glamour that is Versace.

Yellow Diamond is a floral perfume that you can definitely wear during the day or night, and let me tell you, you are going to get a lot of people saying “Oooo, what is that perfume you’re wearing” (except maybe your bf, if he is anything like mine he will tell you your hair smells nice but never notices your perfume..ooo boys).

Now down to the important stuff..the ingrediants.

Head: Citron from diamante, pear sorbet (as soon as I typed this I wanted to eat some, neroli and bergamont.

Heart: Nymphea, fressia, orange blossom and mimosa.

Dry Out: Amber wood, palo santo and musk.

They are some pretty sweet flavours. Now to quote the lady herself…Donatella Versace.

Yes To Carrots, C me blush lip tint – I have loved this brand for a long time and I was so excited to see that this month Bellabox included the famous Yes To Carrots Lip Tint, and in my fave colour – C Me Blush. What is so awesome about all of this brands products and especially the lip tints is that they are all 95% organic, containing a blend of fruits and veggies. Hey, why should your insides get all that good stuff? Now your lips and face can join in on the fun. RRP: $9.95 for 2.6 gms, available from David Jones and Priceline.

Pure Fiji Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion – The first thing I noticed about this product was the amazing smell, it takes you back to lying on a tropical beach somewhere soaking up the hot sun. No wonder this lotion smells so delicious. Pure Fiji Coconut Hydrating Lotion contains a blend of coconut milk and exotic nuts, each working together to hydrate the skin making it feel soft and fresh. I love applying the lotion after you get out of a hot shower, the smell really feels up the whole bathroom and makes your worries drift away and think of holidays. RRP: $29.95 for 100mls.

Bellamer Eye Balm – Oh Bellamer Botanical Skin Care, these guys are so amazing! All their products are natural and 100% plant derived, combined they promote the skins own ability to heal and make it smooth and fresh. Now that’s what we like to hear, all natural products that wont harm our skin and make us look great! I have only used this eye balm a couple of times so far and it seems to be working. The thing about this product is that it does leave a slight amount of excess, that is easily fix though with a quick wipe.  I recommend using the eye cream twice a day to get maximum benefits and fight away those wrinkles. RRP: $40 for 15gms.

A Sincere Apology! And A Massage Please..

We know, we know, we know! It sure has been a long time between reviews and we are very sorry! In fact we are so very sorry that we hand-picked these pretty flowers just for you as an apology..

We hope you accept our apology and we promise we are going to try our hardest to be better. I know it must seem like we have been pretty slack but we have actually been very busy little bees.

Amy is still very much pregnant and in need of a good pregnancy massage, if you know anyone give us a holla. She will love you forever (that’s not to say that we don’t love you all already because, we really do). I, on the other hand would love a massage myself which is probably why I have booked myself in for a very relaxing Hot Stone Massage at Inspa Wellness Retreat in good ole Sans Souci. The total massage goes for 1hr and 30min and I just know I am going to be in heaven the whole time, I mean come on, as if I wont be, right? I will be reporting more on this one later.

We have been trialing and testing lots of great and amazing products, seriously guys, we have a backlog so be prepared for lots more reviews coming your way. We only wish that sometimes there could be more hours in the day! And another thing I am loving right now…baking! I know that it is not very beauty related but they look beautiful at the end and they taste yummy, so a recipe or two might sneak its way onto our blog (maybe tomorrow?).

Lets Get Nude

Sorry all you Blake Lively wannabes but there is going to be no nudity on this blog, unless of course you are talking about Nude by Nature, which, is exactly what I am talking about!

Lately I have been suffering from terrible dry patches on the tops of my cheeks, I don’t know what the cause of this is as I moisturize every morning and every night! I have put the annoying intruder down to sitting in office air conditioning 5 days a week and the hot weather. That sounds about right. Wanting to find a solution, I ventured of to find a cure, and it looks like I might have found it. Nude by Nature Nude Oil.

 

Nude by Nature Oil is like a little miracle product, it can fix just about any skin concern from dryness, scarring, stretch marks, scarring from acne, firmness and age spots. Phew, what a list! The oil works by hydrating the deeper layers of skin that usual mostiurizers do not target, by containing tamanu oil, a splendid ingredient that improves hydration and the healing of scars. 

All Nude by Nature products are 100% chemicle-free and are designed to make mineral makeup more accessible and easy to use, it is such a good feeling knowing that what you are using on your face is not going to harm you later on down the track. With more products going down the natural road and containing no chemicals, hopefully one day we will all have naturally glowing skin!

The direction on the bottle says to apply the oil twice a day for dry skin. I found this was a little too much and ended up applying the oil once at night after my usual cleansing routine. The oil was so easy to apply with one or two cotton balls and glided over my skin so easily. I noticed results in the dryness of my skin after about 3 days of using the oil, pretty good if I do say so myself.

One thing that I completely loved about this product was that it contains a pump applicator. I have used other oils in the past with screw top lids and they made such a mess I ended up giving up on them. Not with Nude by Nature oil, I have had no annoying spills in my bathroom cupboard, which is such a major plus for me.

Hair So Healthy It Shines Like Liquid Gold

By now I think all of you know how much The Makeup Case is obsessed with hair products…ummm hello…massivly obsessed is probably the best way to describe it. So after sucking out all my Herbal Essence from the bottle I was on the hunt for something new! Something that would tame my locks and make them look as shiny as Kim Kardasians 72 day wedding ring!

Now, I am going to tell you something that will knock those sweet Marc Jacobs flats of your feet…are you ready…I found the perfect product for only $3.95, that’s only 2 gold coins!

The product in question is Organic Care Dry Moist Shampoo and Conditioner. Even after I used this products for the first time I feel completely head over heels in love, it left my hair super hydrated, shiny, smooth, extremely manageable and with that all important glossy look.

Every Good Swivel Deserves Another..

Cracked, dry lips, is there really anything worse? At this point in time I have to scream with a big fat NO! This weather is literally driving my lips crazy! Sweltering hot, cold, raining, humid, every day seems like a different season and my lips are feeling the confusion. One minute they are all nice and mosturized, with no signs of dryness and the next they are the complete opposite. I needed a good remedy and pronto, enter Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick. I am always on the hunt for something that is going to take away that annoying pigmentation from my face. It’s not that I obsess over the touch of redness that I have,  it can be covered just fine with foundation but, wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to. And it just so happens that I have found the perfect little product that will make my life  just that little bit easier and the best part..it’s organic, oh Miranda Kerr would be so proud!
