Happy Australia Day everyone!!

We hope you are all out there enjoying the day and celebrating this beautiful country of ours (and hopefully enjoying a bevy or two).

Since it is Australia Day, we thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you all our most favorite Aussie beauty brands and products.

Bourne Naked Handbag Liners – You may remember our love of the Bourne Naked range of invisible bag liners. They have been keeping my handbag and makeup clean and in an organized manner for a while now. I still love them as much as the day I bought them and now I can’t imagine my handbag without a Bourne Naked Liner in there!

Eco Tan – I cannot stop recommending this brand to people, I just love them! Eco Tan is an Australian company dedicated to creating safe, organic and chemical free tanning products for us Aussie beauties. They have such a fantastic range and there is something there to suit everyone. I am still loving my Eco Tan Invisible Tan and Eco Tan Tan-Away Glove, I use them so regularly I am nearly ready to order my second batch, I just can’t get enough! Unlike every other tanning product I have used, Eco Tan actually comes out brown, not some disgusting orange colour. And to top it off, the smell is delicious! Order some for yourself at Eco Tan.

Natio – Did you know that this is an Australian brand? It was started in Melbourne in 1993 and seems to be growing at an escalating speed. Great news! They create cosmetics that are easy to apply and plant based skincare combining natural ingredients with pure aromatic essential oil blends offering you healthier, more radiant looking skin. The latest product we have from Natio is this cute giftpack with the Cinnamon and Tangerine Body Wash and an apple shaped sponge. All I Want For Christmas is…….

The time has come, there are only a few weeks left until Christmas. For anyone stuck for ideas about what we would like for Christmas we have compiled a short (ish) list of things we would love to find under the tree on Christmas morning (thanks Santa).

Kardasian Kolor – Nicole by OPI has joined forces with this famous family and developed some pretty rad colours for our pretty fingers. There are 14 shades in the collection and I plan to get everyone on them (you here that bf! All of them). And they are a bargain at only $14.95, pretty great for OPI right!?!

This week we….

It’s been a busy few weeks here at The Makeup Case. We have learn’t somethings we used to be scared of…Fishtail Braids. I am loving them now, and can do them so quicky, maybe even with my eyes closed! We also treated our skin to some beautiful products from Lush, our bathrooms love them as well beause it makes them smell delicious! I also made some sweet vodka soaked cherries, stay tuned for the recipe. I know it is not exactly beauty related but they look beautiful and taste amazing.

Love My Uberkate.

After the birth of my baby girl we were looking for something a little special to mark the day. Ka-ching……Uberkate! A friend had been given one of these peices for her 30th birthday from her dad. We thought it was beautiful and such a lovely idea. So we jumped online to check it out.

I know its not strictly beauty but I wanted to share with you something that we love and receive lots of compliments for. Uberkate, a family owned and run jewellery design studio specialising in designs that capture the spirit of relationships in precious metals.

Uberkate is a world where art and personalised jewellery combine to keep families and loved ones connected. Each Uberkate piece is made from precious metals that have been hand-crafted into a distinctive design and are then personalised for the individual wearer.

I decided on the signature piece “The Ubercircle” It has my babys’ name and date of birth on one side and her nickname (she doesn’t know anything else) on the other.

Dad decided on a more manly version from the living circle range with her name one one side and nickname on the other. We wear them everyday and never take them off. They stay nice and shiny by cleaning with soap (ours get washed every day in the shower just with normal body wash)
